Roles and Responsibilities
- Perform periodic reviews of Profit and Loss (P&L) accounts to ensure postings comply with defined policies, processes and procedures.
- Compare actual results with forecasts or quotes and research variances.
- Ensure required adjustment postings are completed in the books of accounts.
- Collect business reasons for remaining variances and report them appropriately.
- Reconcile scoped balance sheet accounts with sub-ledgers or manual schedules to identify and address variances.
- Review accounts periodically to identify potential risks and ensure appropriate mitigation.
- Plan and execute book-close and reporting activities accurately and on time.
- Work with relevant teams to prepare forecasts and budgets for related accounts.
- Work with the Operations team to improve business and operational metrics.
- Maintain familiarity with relevant accounting, regulatory and reporting requirements in the Controllers Handbook and RCTS.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- B.Com, B.C.S, M.Com, MBA, BBA, BBM or another commerce and accounts stream degree.
- 1–2 years of related experience.
- Professional certification is preferred, including:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Certified Financial Planner (CFP)
- Certified Management Accountant (CMA)
- American Production Inventory Control Society (APICS)
- Chartered Accountant (CA)
- Certified General Accountant (CGA)
